The patient was examined by Dr Padmavathi, Consultant Gynecologist at Renova Hospitals, Langar House. The patient has revealed that her Uterus has been removed 25 years back and now suffering with the pain in abdomen since long time. After clinical examination huge mass weigh about 4 to 5 kgs found in the abdomen. The patient was advised to undergo different blood test MRI pelvis & CT scan. MRI Pelvis shows Mucinouscystadenoma arising from the right ovary.
Accordingly a surgical team consisting of Dr Sanjay Yadagiri, Consultant Onco Surgeon, Renova Hospitals along with Dr Padmavathi, Consultant Gynocologist, Renova Hospitals, Langar House – Dr Gangadhar, Consultant General Surgeon, Renova Hospitals, Langar House – Dr Pradeep, Consultant Anesthesiologist, Renova Hospitals, Langar House debulking surgery was formed performed on the patient. The surgical team has successfully removed a huge tumour that weighed roughly 5 Kg from the abdomen of the women. The tumour was sent for Biopsy & Pathological examinations.
On the occasion of completing such complex surgery successfully, Dr Padmavathi, Consultant Gynocologist, Renova Hospital, Langar House has revealed the details. She explained that small tumours were normally found among women patients but such a huge tumour weighing 5 kg after Hystectomy is very rare. She explained that the removal of such a huge tumour makes a surgery a complicated procedure required careful handling of nearby organs during the surgery. Despite complexities involved in the surgery, the expert surgical team has successfully conducted the surgery and the team is happy as the patient was discharged in healthy condition today, she said.
