“We welcome the Government of India’s interim budget proposal announced by honourable FM Nirmala Sitharaman highlighting a new scheme to be launched for strengthening deeptech technologies for defence purposes and expediting ‘atmanirbharta’. This will facilitate partnerships between defence organizations, academia, and industry players to co-create an ecosystem that will focus on building skilled capacity for the sector.
To this end, all three partners must collaborate to curate curriculum, provide hands-on experience and promote knowledge exchange in cutting-edge defence technologies and related expertise in cybersecurity, devops, spacetech etc. Moreover, Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be the bedrock of all emerging technologies and will play a major role in defence tech.
This move will act as a catalyst to bring about self-reliance in India’s growth narrative and simultaneously create experts for the global market.”
