Airo and Aether 2024:Mahindra University’s Annual Sports and Techno-Cultural Extravaganza

Delhi NCR / Hyderabad 21 February 2024: Mahindra University’s annual fests, Airo and Aether, recently concluded with an exhilarating display of sportsmanship, creativity, talent, and spirited collaboration between students and management. The vibrant synergy that defines these fests was palpable across the campus, as students from various disciplines came together to celebrate and compete in a diverse set of activities.

The campus buzzed with energy as participants from colleges across the region including BITS Pilani, Hyderabad, Vignan Jyothi Institute of Management among others engaged in a diverse range of activities, showcasing their skills and camaraderie. The seven-day fests featured a blend of athletic competitions, including cricket, football, basketball, and lawn tennis, alongside cultural events such as literary debates, quizzes, and stand-up comedy. This eclectic mix catered to various interests, fostering a sense of community spirit among attendees. The newly inaugurated FIFA-certified football field witnessed intense matches, with BITS Pilani, Hyderabad emerging victorious. The MU Lawn Tennis team showcased their prowess by clinching both singles tournaments, while the Basketball teams displayed exemplary teamwork, securing victories in their respective tournaments.

Aether provided a platform for creative expression and innovation, featuring a diverse lineup of events. From the entrepreneurial marathon of IdeaStorm to the media literacy challenge of ‘GUESS – Real or Fake News,’ participants were engaged in stimulating activities. The literary fest organized by the Erudite club and the stand-up comedy competition by Power Speakers added an extra dose of entertainment to the fest. EIC’s IdeaStorm and Mastershot’s film screening highlighted the innovative spirit of MU students, while Enigma’s 418 Hackathon and GameJam encouraged digital innovation and problem-solving.

Some innovative challenges such as The Break-Up Story Challenge, Idea Storm, Stand-Up Comedy, Feature Film Screening, and GameJam, provided platforms for students to showcase their creativity and skills. Immersive experiences like VR Exploration and Cipher Chase pushed boundaries, offering participants a chance to delve into virtual realities and solve captivating mysteries. Celeste’s VR Experience and Ambrosia’s Cipher Chase offered immersive adventures. At the same time, the Battle of Beats dance competition and Battle of Bands music competition showcased the diverse talents of the university community. The grand finale of Aether featured electrifying performances by band Threeoryand DJ Lost Stories, creating an unforgettable atmosphere of music and celebration.
